Graphite pencil is an amazing medium. I consider these chiaroscuro studies to be more like paintings because of their flawlessness. The superfine sharpened graphite pencil point allows for the most exacting of accuracy. Blending the graphite on acid free quality 3ply Bristol Plate paper is one of my favorite challenge. I allow for areas to appear realistic and for other areas to show the medium at hand. I hope you enjoy viewing my work as I did completing them.
